12th Annual
Adirondack Outdoorsman Show set for Johnstown

The 12th Annual Adirondack Outdoorsman Show will take place at the Johnstown Moose Club (109 South Comrie Ave/Rte 30A) on Saturday February 11th (10am-6pm) & Sunday February 12th (10am-5pm).

The show will be geared towards the tastes of Hunters, Fisherman and Outdoors Enthusiasts, with exhibits containing items for sale pertaining to: hunting & fishing gear/supplies, guns, archery, trapping, boating, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, guides & charter services, taxidermy, snowmobiling, collectable knives, antique hunting & fishing gear, wildlife art & books and Adirondack Furniture.

Many featured guests, authors and industry experts are scheduled to be on hand throughout the weekend giving seminars and discussing Outdoor & Hunting/Fishing subjects with attendees.

The first featured guest will be the Adirondack Deer Trackers.  Joe DiNitto, Steve Grabowski, Jim Massett and Dave Williams make us this unique group of Adirondack Deer Hunters from Central New York who have a combined 170 years of Adirondack hunting experience between them.  They will be on hand signing copies of their new book called  “Adirondack Deer Trackers: Stories As Told In Deer Camp”.  Our second featured guest is writer/photographer and Fishing Author Spider Rybaak. Rybaak, who returns with his newest book “Fishing the Adirondacks”.  Our third featured guest is “Adirondack Outdoors” editor Leo Maloney who will be on hand to greet readers and passing out complimentary copies of his publication.

In addition, the Pine Tree Rifle Club will be honored with induction into the Fulton County Baseball & Sports Hall of Fame in recognition for establishing the first modern Bench Rest Rifle Competition in 1947, leading to the sport becoming established internationally.  Inductions will take place on the main show floor at 3pm.  The club will also have a history exhibit at the show highlighting its 80 years in existence, with club officials present to talk about the club’s role in the history of modern Bench Rest Shooting.

In conjunction with this year’s show, the “Take Me Fishing & Hunting Raffle” will be taking place with the prizes consisting of Guided Fishing & Hunting Trips with Professional Guides throughout NYS.  Door prizes of gear and equipment will be given away throughout the weekend.  Admission to the event is $5 for adults and Children (under 16) are Free both days.  For more information on the event, go to www.adkshow.com or contact Mike Hauser at 518-725-5565; mhauser@frontiernet.net
