13th Annual
Adirondack Outdoorsman Show set for Johnstown


The 13th Annual Adirondack Outdoorsman Show will take place at the Johnstown Moose Club (109 South Comrie Ave/Rte 30A) on Saturday February 10th (10am-6pm) & Sunday February 11th (10am-5pm).

The show will be geared towards the tastes of Hunters, Fisherman and Outdoors Enthusiasts, with exhibits containing items for sale pertaining to: hunting & fishing gear/supplies, guns, archery, trapping, boating, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, guides & charter services, taxidermy, snowmobiling, collectable knives, antique hunting & fishing gear, wildlife art & books and Adirondack Furniture.

Many featured guests, authors and industry experts are scheduled to be on hand throughout the weekend discussing Outdoor & Hunting/Fishing subjects with attendees. The first featured guest is New York Outdoor News Editor Steve Piatt who will be on hand to greet readers and passing out complimentary copies of his publication. The second featured guest will be book author J. Michael Kelly, who will be signing copies of his newest work called "Trout Streams of Central New York". Third, is hunting author Robert Elinskas, who will have copies of his newest book called "In Camp with Adirondack Hunters; Stories from the Adirondack Deer Camps of late October & November." Rounding out the featured guests will be former Whitehall Police Officer Brian Gosselin who had a Bigfoot Encounter back in 1976. He returns with the book he recently published about his famous Whitehall encounter called "Abair Road and Beyond".

In addition, Pine Tree Riffle Club Member Dr. Richard Maretzo will be honored & inducted into the Fulton County Baseball & Sports HOF for setting a Shooting World Record. At the 1983 National Shoot at the clubs Johnstown range, he placed 10 rounds within a 0.119 inch diameter grouping from 100 yards. The induction will take place on the main show floor at 3pm on Saturday. Maretzo will also be at the Pine Tree Rifle Club booth at the event throughout the weekend

In conjunction with this year's show, the "Take Me Fishing & Hunting Raffle" will be taking place with the prizes consisting of Guided Fishing & Hunting Trips with Professional Guides throughout NYS. Door prizes of gear and equipment will be given away throughout the weekend. Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $1 for Children (under 16).
